It&rsquo;s a lovely rural restaurant with a nice menu, well worth making a journey to it (I travelled from Kent but I was headed to Maldon). Will visit again when I&rsquo;m next in the area.

Lovely food, service was slow and we waited a long time for food/inbetween courses and had to ask for more drinks on a very hot day&hellip;

Nice food and very friendly staff. The space is relaxing.

We had a lovely meal for my wife&rsquo;s birthday. Good food from start to finish. Our only concern was the wine. We asked for advice on what we were eating but although the wine was expensive , the wine was not a good taste and tasted like a cheap wine. Very disappointed.

First time for us here and it has been great: Sunday lunch, sunny and 20 degrees, the perfect conditions to eat on the terrace. Traditional English food , very well prepared. Good variety of Italian and French wine, at the glass as well, that is what we took. Only improbable aspect, the service can be faster: they were full, so I guess they were at the limit. Still good. We will go back, no doubt.
